This is actually one blast-from-the-past photo...this is the 1st pic I got of them playing an actual game together. Gunner would "race" Hudson across the floor (Hudson was only doing the army crawl at that point, so I don't know how he didn't get rug burn, because he was pretty fast)
Now the rest of the pics are of the last two months, it seems like they both really want to play together now...at least initially. Most of these kodak moments end with someone getting frustrated and whining or crying, but we are making progress, and it is so sweet to watch!
"Gunner dinosaur" pushing Hudson around the house on his train...
Playing the piano together, in a rare moment when one isn't trying to push the other off the bench (sometimes successfully as they both have the bruises to show)
This is a peek-a-boo game that makes finishing any meal a challenge. Hudson "hides" by covering his face and Gunner says "Where is my friend Hudson, I can't find him anywhere?", and when Hudson takes his hands away they both yell "THERE HE IS"...only Hudson sounds more like "eh eee isss".
Close up of Hudson "hiding", I love how he has to always be peeking out with one eye to see what Gunner is doing (probably a survival mechanism actually!).
This is my favorite, I just took it this morning when Gunner was getting ready to go to school. Gunner has started giving Hudson kisses when he falls down. He had just given him a kiss on the head when Hudson leaned in and hugged and kissed him back. Then Gunner says "awww, that is so nice Hudson". Maybe there is hope for the two of them yet!!
Well, I have to run and play the T-rex game w/ Gunner....he makes me hide in our bushes and then jump out and chase him around the yard until he is "safe" on the playground. He lives for some one-on-one outside time when I put Hudson down for his nap! Sometimes I really do love having boys...who needs hair bows and dance recitals when you get to be dirty and play dinosaurs!
